Week 11

The nexus one is disconnected which i really don't care about because I feel like it was a weak phone in the first place. 4chan hacked the Times top 100 people and put himself number one. I think this is hilarious and shows what people can actually do when they know what they are doing. Getting a job making games for social media websites would be sweet. Those games are all really fun to play also. Half the time I go on Facebook I go on to play a game.

Week 10

The British Monarchy has joined Flickr and have been posting pictures. I think it is very funny that this old tradition family is using social media to spread pictures. I think the afgan war reports getting leaked on to wikipedia is kind of cool. The government always trys to hide these things to us and I think it would be a cool thing to read. The droid is putting out the first global web series which is probably a good advertising strategy. I may tune in and check it out.

Mashable Week 8 Cont.

There was an article about Kayne's new found interest in Twitter. I read the article and realized how real Twitter is. You can really see what celebrities and other people are thinking at the time. I feel that Kayne is seriously sorry about the Talyor Swift incident. His tweets show that he is really sorry for coming off as an asshole lately and wants people to look at him differently.

I think that wiki finally making something that will make them money is a good idea. All that work they do should finally pay off more. Also craigslist now censoring adult services and now it just says censored makes sense. Everything get censored so I agree that they should do this. They also are making more of an effort to remove prostitutes from the website. People still will find a way to find these services if they know where to look. So overall it just makes it harder for people looking for prostitutes but they will find them.

Mashable Week 8

The first article is about a Facebook phone, which the Facebook people shot down right away. They said they are not in the phone business and they want to make the social website better and apps better. There are rumors about a third party working with them to make this phone but they won't say they are. I feel that they should. It would make them millions and why wouldn't they want to make more money. Becuase in the end isn't this what it's all about, making money, they wouldn't be doing it still if they weren't making money.

I like the pictures that this artist, Alejo Malia, made. They are neat because it feels like google is a real part of our everyday life and having these markers in real life wouldn't be out of this world. I think you should check this pictures out. http://mashable.com/2010/09/12/google-maps-art/
