11 Endings
Everyone has been waiting for the popular series LOST to finally end. I watched the series for about two to three seasons but it started to get so complex. It got to the point that if you missed one episode you would be lost like the show. I gave up trying to watch that show and it seems like it has been years since I watched it and it has still been on prime time TV. Some guys that work at Team Tiger Awesome had some free time and came up with eleven different endings to the show because it is finally ending on May 23rd. Some of them are pretty funny so you should go check them out if you know anything about the show. Here is the link to the 11 endings.
Celebritweets Theater
Celebritweets theater is a animation show on the web that tells the stories behind the celebrities tweets that they make. It is a comedy because some celebs post some very odd things and this show makes fun of their tweets by making up the story behind the tweet and making it into animation. I think it is a very good idea because Twitter is so big now and celebrities are the people who drive it by putting up news worthy tweets. The most popular video they have made received around 300,000 views. It is a Valentines Day episode featuring Katy Perry and Russel Brand. I think that these can be very funny if they can keep up with all the crazy tweets and try to hit every celebrity at least once. It is a very good idea and I recommend you to go watch a couple and get a few laughs in. Here is the link to the article and a few of the videos.

Goon
One of the newest web series to hit the web that has gone to the dark side. There's not much information about this new series and they have only let out one actor which is the main character. The only known fact is that the main character, Brian, has killed someone and is waiting for someone to come at him in vengeance. The creator Marc Hampson isn't concerned of making money when he was making this series. It was all made by volunteer actors and volunteer filmmakers. He was inspired by another web series called, We Need Girlfriends, and that is what turned him on to doing web series. He just wants to make a mark on line and it is a finished product which he is happy about. He said money isn't a problem and that he wants to just have a good finished product online that he says was his. The only money spent when making this film was about $1000 on some lights. I think that with only spending that much money they have created a pretty good web series that seems to be very intriguing. If you want to check out the web series Goon click here.
Old School mets New School
A new comedy web series called Me and My Old Man is starting to gain some popularity. The show is set in LA where a guy around his twenty's has to move back in with his dad which he doesn't want to do. They both don't want to really be in this situation so it makes for some comedy. I have watched a few episodes and is actually pretty damn funny. I would suggest this to people who like old school shows like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Three's Company or the Cosby Show. That is where the old schools mets new school because it is like these shows but in a newer era. They relate to a lot of new technologies which helps them to connect to the younger generation. They make references to Twitter, Facebook or even ipods. This new comedy web series was done very well and I think everyone should check it out. Here is a link to the website of Me and My Old Man.

Web TV Courses
Most people that want to go into being a film maker for films or television have to go through some kind of film school. This can be very expensive and not everyone has that kind of opportunity. There is now a way people can learn some of these skills with out having to attend an university. Two new web TV courses launched this month to teach people skills on how to get original web series off the ground. The two programs are called, NewMedialocity and Web TV Workshop. They both are four week programs that cost around $200. They teach people skills on script development, production distribution and marketing. They also teach people skills with social media. The people that are running these classes are experienced in the field and have had success on the internet. They also bring in people who are professionals and that have had huge successes using these skills. They also said that it attracts all kinds of people. From the young students that are trying to learn more to the professionals trying to learn more about social media. I think these programs are great and if I lived in LA I would definitely check these out because this is something that I want to learn more about. Here is a link to the article.
Audi-The Next Big Thing
The marketers at Audi decided that they wanted to start a web mini series, called The Next Big Thing, to help promote the new Audi A-1 that rolls out around the same time this series airs. For this mini series they recruited the famous musician Justin Timberlake. The series is about Justin getting thrown into a crime underworld where out of now where gets thrown into a situation where people are chasing him while he and fellow star Dania Ramirez drive the Audi A-1. At times it seems like a car commercial because they are speeding through the city making the car look like it has excellent handling. This is not the first time car companies have used mini series to promote the new cars coming out. The first time it was done was in 2001 by BMW. This way of promotion seems to work pretty well. Numbers from past tries shows that sales do go up because of the numerous number of views they get. I think this is a great way to promote cars because it's something different then the normal car commercial that you see on a daily basis. Those commercials get boring and you get annoyed when they come on. This is different because you have to go out your way to watch them and if you willing to do that there is a good chance that it could sway you to like the car and possibly buy it. Here is a link to the trailer for the series, The Next Big Thing.
